Matt brings a comprehensive blend of playing and coaching experience to the soccer field. His journey in soccer began in his youth and was highlighted by his tenure as a striker in high school, where his team achieved a national ranking of 7th. Although an injury curtailed his playing career, Matt remained connected to the sport by practicing and scrimmaging with college teams at Birmingham Southern and Mississippi State.

Credentials:

Matt currently holds a USSF 9v9 Grassroots Coaching License. He is committed to furthering his coaching education and plans to acquire additional licenses in the future.

Coaching Experience:

Matt has been a dedicated coach at the Strikers Club for six years. He began coaching recreational teams and transitioned to the competitive side in 2022, where he now leads the 2015 Boys Competitive team.

He advocates for a style reminiscent of the Spanish tiki-taka, characterized by quick, purposeful play, aiming to maintain possession and advance aggressively.
